Delete your Rove account
You can request deletion of your Rove account and associated personal data here, even if you no longer have the app or cannot sign in.
Request deletion
- Email privacy@rovesafe.com with the subject Delete my Rove account.
- Send from your registered email address where possible. Include the email address or phone number associated with your account so we can locate it. Do not send your password, identity documents or health information.
- We verify ownership, process the request and confirm the outcome. If you cannot access your registered email or phone, explain that in your request so support can help verify ownership.
Response time
For requests covered by the GDPR, we respond without undue delay and normally within one month of receiving your request. If a permitted extension is needed for a complex request, we explain the reason and revised deadline within that first month. Verification or a retention exception is explained in our response.
What is deleted
Your account, profile, stored contact matches and associated personal data are deleted or anonymised. Messages, reports and operational records that other participants need may remain without your personal account identity. Media and recordings linked to your account are subject to deletion and the applicable evidence retention rules. Data another person has independently saved cannot be removed from their device by Rove.
Limited retention and subscriptions
Limited information may need to remain for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security or an existing evidence preservation obligation. We explain any exception and its applicable retention period when responding to your request. Account deletion does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple or Google; cancel it through that store's subscription settings to stop future charges.
